Controls: frustrating as hell. Seriously, the piranhas keep jumping all over the place, tracking isn't very good, my fish kept teleporting to random corners quite a few times.
Boundaries: some of the guys/objects kept floating behind rocks, in which case I obviously couldn't reach them anymore. Annoying bug, tbh.
I did like the design though, the menus were smooth and dynamic. I also liked the upgrade system, however, didn't get to play too long since I got really annoyed with the controls. Overall, it's an okay game but I found some aspects of it rather frustrating. Got a thing for nice looking designs though, hence 6 from me!
Love the design, game itself looks nice, dynamics are pretty smooth. One thing I noticed, the card counter on the left of the stack (which you draw the new cards from) goes negative right before resetting the stack once you've depleted it. Not sure if you intended it that way or not, just one thing I noticed.
I think this is a very good solitaire game all in all!
It's great to see something new and original on NG. :|
The performance was alright I suppose. I mean seriously the fact that you can't take a turn properly is perfectly outweighed by the infinite lives. Give you that. At least it works and you've used a different approach when using soundtracks than the original game.
Nothing new or original. Well, yes if you include the blurry shapes of the blocks and the chaotic random blast of colours once you remove the lines you've altered the concept. What we have here is all about a slight variation of the design.
The execution was alright though. Every next block lags a tad, maybe it was intended that way, I cannot tell. Decent game, try to come up with something original next time.
Yeah, well, where should I begin...
Art had obviously not bothered you much. The only feature of the game that had enough detail were the Angry Fat Man's teeth. Having some sort of change in the emotional expression would also come a great way. For now, it's just a huge face floating in the air with a frozen face. Also, becoming a brain OR a inanimate dung beetle is just a tad beyond me. I guess it's for a humorous purpose...
The code wasn't as smooth as it should either. The menu is a bit confusing, has no indication that I should CLICK the three eerie objects on my left. Jumping is weird... it falls too slow and gets stuck in the floating blocks of earth.
Put greater effort in making a game next time. I see great potential and think that you could've done better...
The game is decent, the only things I found annoying included the fact that everything EVERYTHING has to explode lol... Why should a health powerup send you sky high? Also, it'd be loads more fun if the blocks weren't so sensitive to the main character pushing and ramming into them. The beginning of the game was daunting trying to get at least some height but having the blocks fall over by a mere touch...
All in all, a neat physics based game, good work!
Once you start the game it looks fun with the interesting and quite original idea, sleek and neat art, smooth animations and overall slumbery mood. However, once you realise the cam doesn't follow the main character and you actually can disappear beyond the edge of the screen, it spoils all the fun. I mean seriously how can I avoid ghosts and jump on ledges I can't even see?
Fix that and this flash will be good
Things I did like: The art, that was awesome! The fighters were well detailed and seemed to dwell on the same style which is a great feat. I loved the faces, they gave a more insightful depth of personality.
The idea was also good... a mountain of challenge or whatever... other fighters etc. And I loled at the goblin who took away the bodies, that was a nice little feature :D
However, the menu is a bit confusing, especially when instructions are in some other language... I don't think you should change it... just add an English version. The help menu was a fail. It jumps out on some unknown button and never goes away so I had to restart the game. Also, a few more fighters on the way to the top of the mountain wouldn't hurt.
All in all I'd say it's a fine little game you've made. Keep up the good work!
Yeah, it makes you fat... and definitely has to be escaped at all times unless you want to die...
The concept is really too common and it lacked the sparkle of idea to make it awesome. Sorry.
On a lighter note, it had powerups... slowing down is quite useful.
And I'm pretty sure the character from the original series wears the alien watch on the other arm.
The game's quite repetitive... and the balls can stack over the enclosed area which is quite confusing imo.
